Step It Up 2007
I co-hosted the Fort Greene edition of the Step It Up 2007 event with Urban Spring. Our event was called "Spring Into Greene"

On this one spring day, there were hundreds of rallies all across the country. There were gatherings in every state, and in many of America's most iconic places: on the levees in New Orleans, on top of the melting glaciers on Granite Peak in Wyoming, even underwater on the endangered coral reefs off Key West.

Every group had the same message: "Step it up, Congress! Cut Carbon 80% by 2050." As people gathered, we linked pictures of the protests together electronically via the web--before the weekend was out, we collectively assembled the largest demonstration the country has ever seen, not in numbers but in extent.
